Hi, my name is Anastasiia, and I have had pets all my life. Cats, dogs, and parrots surround and make my days better. I cannot imagine life without them. But I know how important to understand if you need to adopt a pet. Maybe someones think you want to have a little friend, which is enough. However, it is not so easy. The volunteering Cardiff animals initiative is convinced that adopting pets must be considered as serious as a decision to have a baby. Indeed, having a baby is a more responsible and significant part of your life. But, dogs and cats behave like children. They have many needs to be satisfied. For the first time, I met my dog friend when I was born. It was the smartest dog that I had ever known. My mother said that this dog executed commands immediately, and protected her and me in any situation. As well, we had one or two cats when I was a child. But at my school times, we had six and seven cats. And now because of taking from the street pregnant cat, we have nine cats. Adoption of dogs from shelters and the streets made us happy owners of four dogs. You can read stories of my happy pets to know more about the power of love, and attention in pet adoption.
I had a lot of experience adopting an animal from the first day of taking a cat or dog. I know that breed and age are not so important for your happy life with a pet. Unbounded animals from the streets can be even more obedient and faithful than any other cats or dogs. Thus, I am sure that every homeless and rescued pet is worth a lovely and caring family. That’s why I joined the Volunteering Cardiff animals initiative and would like to show you what adopting pets process looks like, why you should know how to choose a shelter dog and a cat, and why you should not worry about unexpected situations.
